Job Information

DESCRIPTION

  • Expediter for NY City plan approvals for architectural/engineering design drawings.
  • Coordinate the approval process by preparing filing packages, reviewing blueprints and documents, ensuring filing forms are included, checking for compliance, filing for approvals, and performing other essential functions of the job.
  • Job function will be to collect and process appropriate information, preparing forms for various filings and approval authorities such as NYC DOB, FDNY, NYC SCA- BCC, etc, and apply applicable policies and procedures in determining completeness of applications, records, and reports; assess fees.
  • Attending meetings with plan reviewers, work as a liaison between plan reviewers and engineers, to ensure information is transferred accurately and timely.

  • Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, codes and regulations
  • Principles and techniques of customer service.
  • Basic terminology, practices, and procedures used in building trades and construction.
  • Business letter writing and basic report preparation.
